Amazon’s much vaunted Amazon Prime Day is almost here. Touted as the Summer’s “Black Friday”, many aren’t exactly sure what it is and what to expect from it. Here’s what we know about Amazon Prime day. What it is, when it is, and what are the best Amazon Prime deals?
What is Amazon Prime Day?
As mentioned above, it’s pretty much Amazon’s version of Black Friday in July. Amazon is offering more than a million products at a discount, but not all at the same time. Through out the duration of the event products will become available at their discounted sales price. Some products will be for certain hours only, and some may sell out.
When is Amazon Prime Day?
Amazon Prime Day will start at 2pm CST (3pm EST) on Monday, July 16. It will run through 1059pm CST (1159pm EST) on Tuesday night, July 17. In Australia and the UK it will start at 12pm and run for 36 hours in both countries. Offers will be different from country to country.
Who Gets to Participate?
You will have to be a subscriber to get the deals for Amazon Prime Day, a limited amount of vendors will offer discounts to all users though.
What are the best Amazon Prime Day deals?
Amazon has unveiled a few deals so far to wet the consumers beaks, among them are:

Kindle Paperwhite for $80 (usually $119.99).
An unspecified brand of 32 inch smart TV for $130.
