President Trump today said that he was “very concerned” that Russia may try and meddle in the upcoming mid-terms to elect members of the US congress, House of Representatives and some of the senate seats. The election which takes place Nov. 6 could be a battle for the currently Republican-held House of Representatives. If the Republicans were to lose the House, this could spell trouble for Trump, severely crippling his ability to get his agenda done.
In his tweet today, Trump said, ” they (Russia) will be pushing very hard for the Democrats. They definitely don’t want Trump!”
I’m very concerned that Russia will be fighting very hard to have an impact on the upcoming Election. Based on the fact that no President has been tougher on Russia than me, they will be pushing very hard for the Democrats. They definitely don’t want Trump!

This tweet comes a little more than a week after Trump met with President Putin in Helsinki to discuss Russian/American relations.
President Putin is due to meet with Trump in the following months at the White House via an invitation from the President.
